monster on planet

I like the effect of how the atmosphere passes around his claws, but there are two inaccuracy's that I can see.

1. Something that large, would cause the planet to bulge (Stretch). Two Planets Collide in Deep Space
2. The laser being fired from it's mouth doesn't have a suitable target, where it's use is required.

It'd be better if you scaled it down, so that about half of it passes the atmosphere.
Or, in the JRPG "Xenoblade Chronicles", we have Bionis and Mechonis. Their huge bodies are the two worlds that the player can traverse.
So why not have two of them, with a planet to show how large they are?
